Compare Country Demographics
Compare population size, age structure, fertility, life expectancy, urbanization and migration while keeping reference years and measurement definitions visible.

Most comparable values
Use values from the same reference year and the same measurement type whenever possible. A later value is not automatically more comparable.
Latest available values
Recent national releases may use different dates or definitions. The comparison table keeps those differences visible instead of presenting them as identical measures.
Comparison Rules
- Census counts are not compared as though they were mid-year estimates.
- International migrant stock is kept separate from annual immigration, emigration and net migration flows.
- Urban population shares receive a limited label when definitions or source systems differ.
- Projection values are identified as scenarios rather than observed population counts.
- Missing values remain unavailable instead of being filled with unsupported estimates.
