Demographer.org accepts questions about published data, source references, technical problems, privacy and confirmed factual errors.
Correction reports
Reports concerning a demographic value should include:
- The full address of the affected page
- The country and indicator
- The displayed value
- The reference year
- The proposed correction
- A link or complete citation to the supporting source
Differences between sources may result from reference dates, territorial coverage or methodology. Providing the complete source makes it possible to determine whether the page contains an error or requires an explanatory note.
Technical problems
Reports about broken charts, duplicated page elements, unreadable tables or navigation problems should include the page address, device type and browser when available.
Source and reuse questions
Underlying demographic figures may belong to national statistical offices, international organizations or other data publishers. Questions about licensing or reuse of a dataset should first be checked against the terms of the original source.
Questions concerning original Demographer.org text, graphics or page presentation can be sent to the support address.
Privacy requests
Requests concerning access, correction or deletion of personal information should use the subject line “Privacy Request.” The message should identify the relevant correspondence or interaction without including unnecessary identity documents or sensitive information.
What not to send
Do not send passwords, payment information, passport details, national identification numbers, medical records or other sensitive personal documents.
Editorial independence
Payment, link exchanges and promotional offers do not determine whether a demographic claim is added, changed or removed.
